Photography has always been a part of my life. In high school, I got my first camera, a Canon AE-1. Taking pictures has always provided a sanctuary for me. For me, it’s the ultimate convergence of technology and art; a system of rules with malleable guard rails. Throughout my early adult life, I was unable to invest the time and emotional energy my sanctuary. That’s just the way life is. But eventually, that changed.
I love to shoot everything and I mean EVERY-thing. Each genre provides a unique set of challenges and opportunities. If I had to choose a favorite, it’s people. The uniqueness of people as subjects is like no other. I can take a million pictures of a person and none of them will be the same. As subjects, people are organically beautiful and diverse. Capturing that beauty is what I enjoy doing.
